What we collect
We collect account details such as your email address, display name, authentication method, and account settings. If you subscribe, Apple or Google processes your payment. Pillars never receives your card details; it stores your membership status (such as trial, active, or canceled), which it receives from the store through our subscription provider, RevenueCat.
We also collect product data such as activated pillars, onboarding experience level, recommended and selected starting point, current week, XP, streaks, completed sessions, reflections you choose to save in the journal, feedback messages and optional screenshots you attach to feedback, and technical data needed to operate and secure the service.
If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple provides Pillars with a stable account identifier and may provide your name and either your email address or an Apple private relay address. Pillars stores an encrypted revocation credential so Apple access can be disconnected when you delete your account.
How we use data
We use data to provide your account, save progress, unlock curriculum, deliver support, improve product quality, prevent abuse, send service messages, and understand launch funnel performance.
Early access interest list
If you join the Pillars early access list, we collect the email address you provide, whether you express interest in future iOS testing, and the time, source, and version of the consent notice. Joining this list does not create a Pillars account.
We use this address to contact you about app testing invitations and launch updates. You may withdraw at any time by emailing privacy@fourpaths.ca. We do not sell the interest list.
Audio and practice data
Some pillars use guided audio and session tracking. The app records progress events such as started sessions, completed poses, completed sessions, and abandoned sessions so it can resume practice and advance weeks correctly.
Product analytics and diagnostics
Pillars records a limited account-linked activation funnel: account creation, onboarding completion and starting level, practice preview, practice start or outcome, second-day return, week advancement, and the selected guidance voice. Event properties are fixed choices or counts; they never include journal entries, feedback text, pose notes, email addresses, or other free-form content.
We use these events to understand whether the guided journey works during testing. Raw activation events are retained for no more than 90 days, are included in account export, and are deleted with the account. Sentry may receive crash and performance diagnostics without default personally identifying information.
Local storage
The web app may store login state, onboarding flags, theme preferences, voice guidance preferences, and resumable session details in your browser. Clearing browser data may reset device-specific preferences.
On Android and iOS, the authentication token is stored using the operating system’s secure credential storage. Non-sensitive preferences and cached profile data are stored locally on the device.
Service providers
We use service providers for application and API hosting, database storage, Google and Apple authentication, subscription billing, transactional email, and error diagnostics. These may include Fly.io, Neon, Google (including Google Play), Apple, RevenueCat, Resend, and Sentry. These providers process data only as needed to operate, secure, and support the service.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure, so you should keep your password private and report suspicious account activity.
Your choices
You may request account support, correction, or export in the app or by emailing privacy@fourpaths.ca. You can delete your account in Profile or follow the account-deletion instructions. Feedback text may remain without its account association for support and product-quality records. Some data may also be retained where required for security, legal, billing, or operational reasons.
